MOST of the following Sermons, being of local and occasional application, were designed at first to be printed only for private circulation among the Author's late parishioners at Chiddingfold, some of whom had expressed a wish, at the time of their delivery, to possess them. He is now induced to publish them together with a few others, which, though originally preached to the same obscure country congregation, he hopes, by God's blessing, may not be found wholly unprofitable to the general reader.
