THE GOD who once to Israel spoke
From Sinai's top in fire and smoke,
In gentler strains of gospel grace
Invites us now to seek his face.

2. He wears no terrors on his brow,
He speaks in love from Zion now;
It is the voice of JESU's blood,
Calling poor wand'rers home to God.
3. Hark! how from Calvary it sounds;
From theREDEEMER'sbleeding wounds;
"Pardon and grace, I freely give,
"Poor sinner, look to me, and live.

OH what amazing words of grace
Are in the gospel found!
Suited to ev'ry sinner's case
Who knows the joyful sound.

2 Poor, sinful, thirsty, fainting, souls
Are freely welcome here;
Salvation like a river rolls,
Abundant, free, and clear.

3 [Come then, with all your wants and
Your ev'ry burden bring! [wounds,
Here love, unchanging love, abounds;
A deep celestial spring!]

4 This spring with living water flows,
And living joy imparts:

Come, thirsty souls, your wants disclose,
And drink with thankful hearts!

5 Thousands of sinners, vile as you,com

Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money, and without price, &c. ISAIAH lv. 1, &c.

HO! every one, that thirsts, draw nigh, ('Tis GOD invites the fallen race;) Mercy and free salvation buy

Buy wine, and milk, and gospel grace. 2 Come, to the living waters come; Sinners, obey your Maker's voice; Return, ye weary wand'rers, home, And in redeeming love rejoice! 3 See, from the rock a fountain rise! For you in healing streams it rolls; Money ye need not bring, nor price, Ye lab'ring, burden'd, sin-sick souls. 4 Nothing ye in exchange shall give, Leave all you have, and are, behind; Freely the gift of God receive, Pardon and peace, in JESUS find. 5 [Why seek ye that which is not bread, Nor can your hungry souls sustain ?
