That guilty retchedness and dust,
worms might rise?
2 Yes, the REDEEMER left his throne,
3 [He took the dying sinner's place,
4 O LORD, what heavenly wonders dwell In thine atoning blood!
By this are sinners sav'd from hell,
5 JESUS, my soul adoring bends
6 What glad returns then can I make For favours so divine?

2 Objects of everlasting love
3 Thy mercy's streams for ever flow, The wilderness along;

5 Kept by thy power through faith we see, The great salvation near;
Nor can we, LORD, ungrateful be,,
385. Salvation by Grace.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through JESUS CHRIST our SAVIOUR; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.TIT. iii. 5 to 7.
LORD, we confess our num'rous faults; How great our guilt has been ; bn Foolish and vain were all our thoughts, Rab And all our lives were sin.
2 But, O my soul, for ever praise,
3 'Tis not by works of righteousness, Which our own hands have done; But we are sav'd by sov'reign grace, Abounding through his Son.
4 'Tis from the mercy of our GOD
5 ['Tis through the purchase of his death,
6 Rais'd from the dead we live anew;

AWAKE, my heart, arise, my tongue,
In GOD, the life of all my joys,
2 'Tis he adorn'd my naked soul,
3 And, lest the shadow of a spot
4 The Spirit's fruit is faith, and love,
5 How well, my soul, art thou array'd By the most HOLY THREE!
In sweetest harmony of praise
Let all thy powers agree.
