Salvador Allende: contra los judíos, los homosexuales y otros "degenerados"

Discusses Allende's graduate thesis, delivered to the Faculty of Medicine at the Universidad de Chile in 1933, entitled "Higiene mental y delincuencia" ("Mental Hygiene and Delinquency"). States that Allende (1908-1973) considered that the causes of delinquency were endocrinological and of racial origin, and that the Jews were genetically predetermined to certain types of delinquency. In ch. 1, pt. 5 of Allende's thesis, discussed by Farías on pp. 56-68, Allende asserts that "...the Jews are characterized by certain forms of crime: deception, fraud, dishonesty, and above all usury. All this leads to the suspicion that race influences delinquency..." (p. 112 of Allende's thesis). Farías concludes that Allende shared the most reactionary and racist theories of his time, the same theories on which Nazism was based.
