The Lessons in this Reading Book are arranged in a more connected form than is usually adopted, and it is believed they will be found to be of a more interesting character, and much more instructive than the unconnected scraps of which Reading Books have hitherto consisted. The volume is arranged in Four Parts, which can be used in any order, or a lesson may be selected from each in succession, as the teacher may prefer. BIBL Keble. THE works of God and the word of God are the two books in which he has revealed himself to man. To us, the dwellers on this little globe of earth, one of the smallest of the myriad worlds that move in space, God has given the Book of Nature, in which to study his works, and to see countless proofs of his wisdom and power; but let us thank him, that with the Book of Nature he has also given |
