This collection consists of forty plates, engraved by Gilbert Van Vien or Venius, after designs by his brother Otho, exhibiting the history of the seven brothers of the house of Lara, celebrated by Dr. Southey in the History of the Cid; with explanations at the bottom of each plate in Latin and Spanish. It is neither mentioned by Brunet nor by Strutt.
