JOHN SARNEY, Husbandman, Preached in the Church of B 1 x, ON FEBRUARY 18. 1760. By JAMES NEAL E, M. A. LONDON: Printed for the AUTHOR, and fold by J. FULLER, at the (Price Six-pence. ) PRÆMONITION. I Am requested to print this discourse by thofe to whofe love I am a confiderable debtor, and therefore I willingly pay this little teftimony of my thankfulness. This fermon is calculated for a plain country village. It may difplease the wife of this world, but a foul, feasoned with the grace of God, will not contemn the day of Small things. The great bufinefs of a minifter of Chrift, is to befeech finners in Chrift's flead to be reconciled to an offended GOD. He is an ambafador from the king of heaven; he hath a glorious meffage to deliver of pardon and peace, and life everlasting to a guilty world. The foul that is loft through his fear and negligence, will indeed perish; but the blood of that foul will GOD require at his hand in the day of the Lord Jesus. : |
