Escritoras al frente: intelectuales extranjeras en la Guerra Civil

Analyzing the writing of numerous female voices opposed to the Spanish Civil War—including women from England, the United States, Canada, and Australia—this study explores the 1930s and the culture of women who lived it. In addition to enriching the understanding of the war's political and sociological aspects, it demonstrates the legacy of women's history in the 20th century and highlights the importance of feminine aesthetics in the ever-changing context of writing—an art previously reserved for men.

Analizando las escrituras de varias voces femeninas en contra de la guerra civil española—incluyendo mujeres de Inglaterra, los Estados Unidos, Canadá y Australia—este estudio explora la década de 1930 y la cultura de las mujeres que la vivieron. Además de contribuir a la literatura política y sociológica de la guerra, también es un legado de la historia femenina del siglo XX y subraya la importancia de la estética femenina en el contexto inestable de la escritura—un arte usualmente reservado a los hombres.
