In Mercy, LORD, thy Creature fee,
My Guilt, my Shame, and Mis'ry hide;
O fpeak the Word, and I fhall be
Cloath'd with thy Robe and juftify'd.

Then fhall my happy Soul enjoy

A lafting Peace, in Thee, my God; Then my whole Bufinefs and Employ Shall be to speak of JESU's Blood.

Dear REDEEMER, who alone
Canft give me Eafe in Pain:

Whofe Blood did once for Sin atone,
And Pardon for me gain.

I once was wholly dead in Sin,-Eph. 2. 1.

And ignorant of Thee;

And walk'd contentedly therein,

Nor knew thy Love to me.

But thine all-feeing Eye then view'd

And mark'd my ev'ry Way;

And still in tender Love purfu'd,

My faithlefs Heart, O SAVIOUR Dear
Correct with gentle Hand;

Their weary Spirits sweetly reft,

They fo much of his Mercy prove,
As wins their grateful Souls to love.

His SPIRIT fhews their Sins forgiv'n,*
And feals them for the Heirs of Heav'n;
And gives them Patience here to wait,
'Till JESUS them to Bliss translate.

Then reft, my Soul, upon thy LORD,

Walking in Godly Fear.

Thou the Virgin's bleffed Seed,
Glory of thy Church and HEAD.

Thee the Angels ceaseless fing,

Thee we praife our PRIEST and KING:
Worthy is thy Name of Praife,

Full of Glory, full of Grace!

Thou haft the glad Tidings brought
Of Salvation by Thee wrought;
Wrought for all thy Church, and we
Worship in their Company.
