Title Al: The Character of a London-Dieurnall, A2-A4; Poems B1-G2. This is the THIRD ISSUE according to the Grolier Club Catalogue, and contains one new poem "A Song of Mark Anthony," making eighteen in all. The paging of the volume is extremely irregular throughout.

A VERY RARE ISSUE, not described in the Grolier Club Catalogue but apparently between their 3rd and 4th edition. It contains 20 poems, whereas the 3rd has 18 and the so-called 4th 22. Collation A to H in fours the last leaf being a blank; title-page and pp. 1 to 56. P. 14 printed 41, p. 26 printed 6, p. 39 numbered 47, pp. 42 and 43 numbered 50 and 51, p. 46 not numbered. Contains the Shakespeare references.

Dramatis Persona, To the Public (signed A Poor Player) (7 pp.). This anonymous theatrical pamphlet in the form of a play-is an attack on the managers; it is dull, but contains many sensible observations. In The Coalition, the two Sheridans, Harris, etc., are the speakers under the pseudonyms of Brainsley, Senr., Brainsley, Jr., Harrass, Tickler, Lyre, Mrs. Brainsley.

The elder Sheridan is said to have been Stage Manager at Drury Lane for two or three years after his son became Joint Patentee, but he did not act.
