Owing to the long illness of Miss Karslake, the assistant Compiler and Editress, together with the formalities incidental to realising the estate of the late Proprietress, there has been considerable unavoidable delay in the completion of the last two parts of the current volume, which the Publishers much regret. They will make every endeavour to catch up arrears as quickly as possible in Volume 21. Meanwhile, they beg the subscribers to kindly excuse the delay and continue to extend to them that patience which has been so much appreciated under the recent trying and unfortunate circumstances. |
