SECTION II.

OF PRAYER MEETINGS.

Question. What directions are given concerning prayer meetings?

¶235. Ans. 1. Let the pastor hold prayer meet

engage local preachers, exhorters, class leade others, to hold them.

¶236. Ans. 2. Let prayer meetings be he at other places where there is a probability doing good.

SECTION III.

OF LOVE FEASTS.

Question. What directions are given con love feasts?

237. Ans. 1. Love feasts shall be held terly, or at such other times as the prea charge may consider expedient, with closed to which, besides church members, other persons may be admitted by him.

238. Ans. 2. In conducting the love after singing and prayer, the preacher may short address, setting forth the nature and of this institution; every one present then pa of a little bread and water, in token of br love; the members then give brief details o religious experience; and the meeting is with singing and prayer.

SECTION IV.

OF CLASS MEETINGS.

¶ 240. Ans. 2. Two or more classes may meet at the same time and place, at their own option, and their leaders may alternate in conducting the exercises.

¶241. Ans. 3. The pastor shall visit every class once a quarter, and report its condition to the Quarterly Conference; and let him hold general class meetings as often as he shall find it expedient. Ques. 2. Can anything be done in order to make the class meetings more profitable?

SUNDAY SCHOOLS.

SECTION I.

THE GENERAL SUNDAY SCHOOL BOARD.

245. For the purpose of promoting th gious training of our children and the spr Bible knowledge among our people, there sh a General Sunday School Board, the organi and functions of which shall be as follows:

The Board shall have oversight of the Sunday schools of the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, under such regulations as the General Conference may prescribe; and it shall have authority to make such by-laws for its government as it may find expedient, provided they are in harmony with this Constitution.
