PREFACE. THE Title of this Work may lead my Readers to imagine that it bears some resemblance to my former Conversations; it is therefore necessary to inform them that it is still more humble in its pretensions, and should be considered rather as a continuation of my later works for young children. It consists of desultory Conversations with a family of children from six to ten years of age, in which I have endeavoured to mingle information with amusement, and to teach those of my young readers who may be learning Geography, that there are other matters connected with land and water quite as interesting as the names and situation of the different parts of the earth. 2 J.
