BE IT REMEMBERED, That on the fourth SEAL. day of November, A. D. 1815, and in the fortieth * year of the Independence of the United States of America, Thomas Smith Webb, of the said district, has deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof he claims as proprietor, in the words following, to wit:

"The Freemason's Monitor; or Illustrations of Masonry: In two parts. By Thomas Smith Webb, past grand master of the grand lodge of Rhode Island, &c. A new and improved edition."

In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States of America, entitled, "An Act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts and books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned;" and also to an act entitled "An Act, supplementary to an act, entitled, 'An Act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts, and books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned, and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints."" GRAND ROYAL ARCH CHAPTER OF THE STATE OF RHODE-ISLAND.

Providence, July 7, A. L. 5802.

THE subscribers, having been appointed a committee to examine a publication by companion THOMAS S. WEBB, entitled, "The Freemason's Monitor," beg leave to report, that having attended to the subject of their appointment, they are of opinion, that the said publication is replete with useful Masonic Information, and is fully entitled to the sanction of this grand chapter.
