ORIENT ROYAL MAIL LINE.

The Orient Royal Mail Line of Steamers, through its Managing Director, Sir Kenneth S. Anderson, has offered to the University three free first-class return passages in favour of graduates of the University who desire to proceed to Europe for the purpose of continuing their studies. The disposition of this privilege the Managers leave entirely in the discretion of the Senate, but they express the hope that, as the object of the offer is to multiply the opportunities for education by travel, the privilege will preferentially be conferred on graduates who, though wishful to go to Europe, are debarred from doing so by reason of the expense involved rather than on the holders of any particular University distinction (as such), or of graduates who are able to dispense with such assistance, and would go in any case.

The passages will be available during the months of May to September, both inclusive, to Europe; and during the months of March to July, both inclusive, outwards from Europe. The currency of the return ticket is for a period of three years from the date of leaving till the date of return to Australia.
