1 Rom. iii. 31. Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbids yes, we establish the law. Gal. iii. 21. Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbd: for it there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.
2. Pfalm cxxx. 3, 4. If thou, Lord, shouldnt mark iniquities, O Lord, who Shall stand ? But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou inayst be feared. Verse 7, 8. Let Israel hope in the Lord; for, with the Lord there is mercy ; and with him is plenteous redemption: and he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities And cxlii. 2. O Lord, enter not into judgment with thy fervant; for in thy sight Inall no man ag be justified. Verse 8. Caule me to hear thy loving-kindness in the morning, for in chee do I trult: cause me to know the way wherein 1 should walk, for I lift up my soul unto thee.
The law of works, the law of grace,
1 Rom. vi. 14, 15. Sin shall not have dominion over you : for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? fhall we fin, becaule we are not under the law, but under grace! God forbid Chap. vii. 4,-6. Where.. fore, my brethren, ye also are becoine dead to the law by the body of Chrift; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held ; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and pot in the oldness of the letrer. 2 Cor. iii. 7.-10. But if the ministration of death, written and ingraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Ifrael could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses, for the glory of his counte. nance, which glory was to be done away; how. Thall not the miniftration of the Spirit be rather glorious ? For, if the minilisation of condemnation be glory, much inore doth the ministration of righteousnels exceed in glory. For even that which was made glorious, had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
2 Gal iii. 24. Wherefore the la, was our school.master, to bring us unto Chrilt, that we might be justified by faih.
3 Rom. xi. 6. And if election be) by grace, then it is no more of works; otherwise grace is no more grace ; but if it be of works, then it is no more grace; otherwise work is no more work.

6 Gal ii 19. For I, through the law, am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
7 Rom. vii. 9. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held ; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not ja the oldness of the letter. Verse 9. For I was alive without the law once; but when the commandment came, la revived, and I died.
Yet, lo! through gospel-grace I live,
1 Rom. vii. 4. Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Chrilt, that ye should me married to another, even to him who is railed from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. And x.4. Christ is the end of the law for rightcouiness to every one that believeth.
2 Rom. iii. 27. Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law ? of works? Nay, but by the law of faith.
3 Rom. ill. 19. Now we know that what things foever the law saith, it faith to ihem who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
4 1 Cor. i. 29,—31. That no fleth should glory in his presence. But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wildom, and righteousness, and fanâification, and redemption; that, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let hiin glory in the Lord.
5 Tic. ii. 11, 12. For the grace of God, that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men; teaching us, chat, decaying ungodline's and worldly lusts, we ihould live soberiy, righteously, and zodiy in this present worlu.

8 Rom. vi. 14. Sin ihail not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. Gil. iv. 4, 5. But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son unade of a woman, made under the law, to re. deem them that were under the law.
9 Gal. ii. 8. And the scripture foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In th:e thall all Darioos be bleil d.
10 Mark xvi. 16. ile that believeth, and is baprized, shall be saved.
11 2 Thef. 1. 7,8. The Lord Jeíus shall be revealed from heaven, with his mighty angels, in tiaming tire, thising vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Chritt.

The law does strict commandment give,
covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, faith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts ; and I will be to them a God, and they thall be to me a people. And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, faying, Know the Lord: for all thall know me from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their fins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
1 John ïïi. 18. He that believeth on him, is not condemned: but he that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
2 Rom. x. 5. For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doth thole things foall live by them. And ii. 19. Now we know that what things soever the law faith, it faith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
3 John iii. 18. He that bclicveth on him, is not condemned.
7 Gal v. 3, 4. For I testify again to every man that is circumciled, that he is a debtor to do the whole law, Christ is become of no effect unto you; whosoever of you are justified by the law, ye are fallen from grace.
8 Rom. xvi. 25, 26.- The myttery that was kept secret tince the world began --now is made manifeft, ard by the scriptures of the prophets, according to the commandinent of the everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of faith.
9 Gal. iii. 21. Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid; for if there had been a law given wluch could have given life, verily righteous. nerThould have been by the law.
10 Matth. v. 17, 18. Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pals, one jot or one little liall in no wise pals from the law, till all be fulfilled, &c. Plalm cxix. 96. I have seen an end of all perfe&tion; but thy commandment is exceeding bioad.

Yet 'tis the law gives firength to it. fearful looking for of judgment and ficry indignation, which shall devour tho adverfaries. He that deipited Moses' law, died without mercy, under two or three witnesses; of how much forer pun fhment, fuppose ye, mail he be thought worthy of, who hath irodden under on the Son of God, and hach counted the blood of the covenant, where with he was fanctified, an unnoly thing, and hath done deljite unto the Spirit of grace? Chap. xii. 25. See that ye retu e not him that speaketh: for if they escaped not who refuted him that fpake on earth, much more shall not we escape, it we turn away from him that speakerh from heaven.
12 Rom. xv. 29. And I am sure that when I come unto you, I shall come in the fuloess of the blessing of the golpel of Christ. Actiii. 26. Unto you first, God having raised up his Son Jelus, lent him to bless you, in turning away, every one of you from his iniquities
i John iii. 18-He that believeth not, is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Mark xvi. 16. -He chat believeth not, thall be damned. Heb. ii. 3. How thall we escape, if we neglect fo great falvation ?
2 Eph. i. 13. In Chrilt ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truthi, the golpel of your falvation. 1 Tim. i. 15. This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all accepration, that Christ Jefus came into the world to save finners ; of whom I am chief.
3 Phil. ii. 16. Holding forth the word of life, &c. 2 Tim. i. 1. Paul aa apoitle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life, which is in Christ Jesus. Ver. 10.-Our Saviour jetus Christ-hath abolished, deatis, and hath brought lite and immortality io light, through the gospel.

5 Psalm cxix. ,6. I have seen an end of all perfection : but ny commande ment is exceeding broad. Rom. viii. 12. Wheretoie the law is holy; and the comman, meni holy, and juit, and good. Heb. vii. 19. For the law made nothing perted, but the bringing in of a butter hope did; by the which we draw nigh unto God.
