What he ne'er broke, and yet must die,
1 Pet. iii. 18. See figure 6. p. 187. 2 Cor. v. 21. See figure 1. p. 188. 1 John iv. 19. In this was manifested the love of God towards us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live thro' him.
2 Rom. viii. 3, 4. For what the law could not do, in that it was weak thro' the Aesh, God sending his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for fin condemned fin in the flesh: that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not afier the flesh, but after the Spirit.
3 Isaiah xlii. 21. The Lord is well-pleafed, for his righteousness' sake, he will magnify the law, and make it honourable. Rom. v. 18,-21. Therefore as by the offence of one, judgment came upon all men to condemnation ; even so by the righteoulness of one, the free giit came upon all mes unto justificarion of life. For as by one man's dilobedience, many were made finners; fo by the obedience of one, shall many be made righieous. Moreover, ibe law entered, that the offence might abound: but where fin abounded, grace did much more abound: that as lin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord.
4 Rom. viii. 1. There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus. Verse 3, 4. See figure 2. Verse 33, 34. Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? li is God that jultifieth : who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea, rather that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh interceflion for us.
5 Job xxxiii. 24. Then he is gracious unto him, and faith, Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom. Rom. iii. 25. 26. Whom God hath set forth to be a propriation, ihro' faith in his blood; to declare his righteousness for the remiffion of lins that are past, thro' the forbearance of God; to declare, I say, at this time, his righteoulness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him that believeth in Jelus.
6 2 Sam. xii. 13. And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, The Lord also hath put away thy lin; thou shalt not die. Psalm li. 2, 3. Waln me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my fin. For I acknowiedge my transgressions ; and my fin is ever before me.
7 Rom. viii. 1. 33. See figure 4. Job ix. 20. If I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: if I say, I am perfe&, it Thall also prove me perverse.

And clear him for absolving me. 5 a godly fort, what carefuluess it wrought in you; yea, what clearing of your. selves; yea, what indignation : yea, what fear; yea, what vehement defire; yea, what zeal; yea, what revenge?
1 Isa. xxxviii. 15. What shall I say? he hath both spoken unto me, and himself hath done it : I Mall go softly all my years in the bitterness of my soul.
2 Ezek. xvi. 63. That thou mayst remember and be confounded, and never open ihy mouth any more, because of thy Thame, when I am pacified loward thee for all that thou hast done, faith the Lord God.
3 Luke xviii. 13, 14. And the publican standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but (mote upon his breaft, saying, God be merciful to me a finner. I tell you, this man went down to his house juflified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself, shall be abased; and he that humbleth himlelf, shall be exalted. Ezek. xxxvi. 31, 32. Then 1hall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own light, for your iniquities, and for your abominations. Not for your fakes do I this, faith the Lord Gord God, be it known unto you: be alhamed and confound.d for your own ways, O house of Ifrael. Jer. xxxi. 19. Surely after that I was turned, I repented; and after that I was instructed, i smote upon my thigh: I was alhamed, yea, even confounded, because I did bear the reproach of my youth.
4 Mat. xxv. 34,-39. Then th all the King say unto them on his right-hand, Come, ye bleired of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you, from the foundation of the world. For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat : I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink : I was a Itranger and ye took me in: naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirity, and give thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or, when law we thee lick, or in prison, and came unto thee ? If we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. Luke xv. 20, 21. And he (viz. the prodigal fon,) arose, and came to his father. But when he was a great way off, his father law him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. And the son said unto lim, Father, I have linned against Heaven, and in thy fight, and am no more worthry to be called thy fon. Gen, xxxii. 9, 10. And Jacob said, O God of my father Abraham, and God of my father Isaac, the Lord which saidīt unto me, Return unto thy country, and to thy kindred, and I will deal well with thee: I am not worthy of the least of all the mercies, and of all the truth, which ihnu haft thewed nnto thy servant; for with my staff I palied over this Jordan, and now I am become two bands.

I hold and will not let him go. 5 ways, and holy in all his works. Rev. xv. 3. And they sung the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, laying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty ; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.
1 Rom. iii. 25. To declare, i say, at this time his righteousness; that he might be just, and the juftitier of hin which believeth in Jesus.
lía. xlv. 21. There is no God elle belide me; a juít God and a Saviour. Ver. 24. Surely, shall one say, In the Lord have I righteousness and strength. Chap. Ixiii. I. Zech. ix.9. Rejoice greatly, o daughter of Zion; thout, o daughter of Jerusalem : behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having falvation, &C.
2 Job xxv. 4, 5, 6 How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman? Behold even to the moon, and it thineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his fight. How much less man that is a worm; and the son of man which is a worm. Plalm lxxxix. 14. Justice and judgment are the habivation of thy throne: mercy and truth thall
before thy face. And xcvii. 2. Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteouiness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. Rom. ii. 19, 20. Now we know that what things foever the law faith, it failli to them who are under the law; that every mouth may be flopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore, by the de.ds of the law, there thall no fleti be jultifid in his light : for by the law is the knowledge of lin. Ver. 23, 24, 25. For all have fine ned, and come ihort of i ne olory of God; being freely justified by his grace, thro' the redemption that is in Jesus Chrift: whom God hath set forth to be the pro. pitiation, thro' faith in his blood, so declare his righteousness for the remillion of fins that are pat thio' the forbearance of God. Pfalm xxii. 2, 3. () my God, I cry in the day.time, but thou heareit not; and ia the night season, and am nog filent. But thou art holy, O thou that inhabiteit the praises of Itrael.
3 Song iii. 4. It was but a little that I pued from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth; I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought bim into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me.

I do according to his call;
1 1 Cor. xv. 10. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed on me, was not in vain; but I labcured more abundantly than they all : yet not i, buc the grace of God which was with me. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye Redfult, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, foralmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
2 Phil. ii. 13. It is God which worketh in you, both to will and to do, of his good pleasure.
3 Psalm cx. 3. Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power. And cxvi. O Lord, truly I am thy servant, I am thy fervant, and the son of thy handmaid : thou hast looled my bonds.
4 Matth. vi. 10. Thy will be deve in earth, as it is in heaven. Pfalm xl. 8. 1 delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
5 Mat. xxii. 28, 29. A certain mao had two fons, and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to-day in my vineyard : He answered, and taid, I will not, &c. John v 45 Ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. Mat. xxii 37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem! thou that killeft the prophers, and Honest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a heu gaibereih her chickens under her wings, and ye would noi!
6 2 Pet. i. 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promiles; that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature.
7 Heb. ii. 14. For ifmuch then as the children are partakers of fleih and blood, he also himluf likewise took part of the same. Verse 16. For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the feed of Abraham.

Wiio hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? Who hath gathered the wind in his fifts? Who hath bound the waters in a garment? Who hath established all the eads of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
10 Song iv. 16. Awake, O north wind, and come, thou south, blov upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out: let m Beloved come into his garden, and eat his pleasant cruits. John iii. 8. The wind
bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the found thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: fo is every one that is born of the Spirit.
1 Chron. xxix 14. And David said,But who am I. and what is my people, that we should be able to offer fo willingly after this fort? For all things come of thee, and of thine owo have we given thee. ? Cor. iii. 3. Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves: but our sufficiency is of God.
2 2 Cor. X. 18. For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but hom the Lord commendeth. Rom. xii. 1, 2. I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfe& will of God.
3 Plalm xxv. 1. Unto thee, O Lord, do I life up my soul. And cxli. 2. Let my prayer be set before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening facrifice. Eph. iii. 12. In whom (viz. Jesus Chriit,) we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him. Heb x. 19. Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, &c.
4. Píalm xvi. 2. O my soul, thou hast said unto the Lord, Thou art my Lord: my goodness extendeth not to thee.
5 lla lvi. 4. Thus faith the Lord unto the eunuchs that take hold of my covenant, &c. Ver. 6. Also the fons of the stranger, chat join themselves to the Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the Lord, to be his servants, every one chat-taketh hold of my covenant, &c:
6 Zech. i. 6. But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my será vants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? And they returned and said, Like as the Lord of holts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. Plalm xc. 2, 3. The Lörd fhill send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midit of thine enemies. Thy people thall be willing in the day of thy power, &c. Rom. i. 16. I am not alhained of the gospel of Christ ; for it is the power of God unto salvation, to every one that believeth, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. 2 Cor. ii. 16.- -to the other we are the favour of life unto life : and who is sufficient for these things?
7 Psalm ciii. 17, 18. The mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him: and his righteousness unto childrens children: to such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments to do them. John xvii. 6. I have manifaited thy name unto the men which thon gavelt me out of the world: thiae they were, and chou gavelt chem me ; and they have kept thy word.
8 Psalm lxxxix. 33,-36. Nevertheless, my loving.kindness will I not ut. terly take from him, nor luffar my faithfulness to fail. My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips. Once have I sworn by my holiness, that I will not lye unto David. His lesd Daall endure for ever, and his thronc as the fun before me.
