A catalogue of 2487 specimens of shells in the collection of the 4th Earl of Tankerville with appendix giving detailed descriptions of new species. Includes shells from Cook's voyages, those of William Bligh's collection as well as shells from the Portland collection and a large part of the Calonne shell collection.
