9 And the LORD faid unto Cain, Where is Abcl thy Brother? And he faid, I know not: Am I my Bro-. ther's Keeper?

12 Not as CAIN who was of that wicked one, and flew his Brother:

And wherefore flew he him? Because

his own Works were EVIL, and his Brother's RIGHTEOUS.

13 And Cain faid unto the LORD, My Punishment is greater than I can bear.

14 Behold, thou haft driven me out this Day from the Face of the Earth and from thy Face fhall I be hid, and I fhall be a Fugitive and a Vagabond in the Earth, and it. shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me fhall flay

me.

15 And the Lord faid unto him, Therefore whofoever flayeth Cain, Vengeance fhall be taken on him seven-fold. And the LORD fet a Mark upon Cain, left any finding him fhould kill him.

16 And Cain went out from the Prefence of the LORD, and dwelt in the Land of Nod, on the Eaft of Eden.

CHAP. V.

AND ENOCH

WALKED with GOD after he begat Methufelah three hundred Years, and begat Sons and Daughters.

23 And all the Days of Enoch were three hundred fixty and fiye Years.

Heb xi. 5 By Faith ENOCH was TRANSLATED that he fhould not fee Death; and was not found, because GOD had TRANSLATED him: for before his Tranflation he had this Teftimony, that he PLEASED GOD.

6 But without FAITH it is impoffible to pleafe him: for he that cometh to GOD, muft BELIEVE that he is, and that he is a REWARDER of them that diligently SEEK him. Jude

Jude 14 ENOCH alfo the SEVENTH from Adam prophefied of these, saying, Behold, the LORD cometh with ten thousands of his Saints,

15 To execute JUDGMENT upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them, of all their ungodly Deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard Speeches, which UNGODLY Sinners have spoken against him.

Ver. I

ND it came to pass, when MEN began to multiply on the Face of the Earth, and Daughters were born unto them.

2 That the Sons of GOD faw the Daughters of Men, that they were fair; and they took them Wives of all which they chofe.

3 And the LORD faid, My SPIRIT fhall not always strive with Man, for that he also is Flesh yet his Days shall be an HUNDRED and TWENTY Years.

4 There were GIANTS in the Earth in those Days; and also after that, when the Sons of Gop came in unto the Daughters of Men, and they bare Children to them: the fame became mighty Men, which were of old, Men of Renown.

5 And GOD faw that the Wickedness of Man was great in the Earth, and that every Imagination of the Thoughts of his Heart was only Evil continually.

6 And it repented the LORD that he had made Man on the Earth, and it grieved him at his Heart.

7 And the LORD faid, I will deftroy Man, whom I have created, from the Face of the Earth, both Man and Beast, and the creeping Thing, and the Fowls of the Air: for it repenteth me that I have made them.

8 But Noah found Grace in the Eyes of the LORD.

4 Their Poifon is like the Poifon of a Serpent; they are like the deaf Adder that ftoppeth her Ear.

9 Thefe are the Generations of Noah: Noah was a juft Man, and perfect in his Generations, and Noah walked with GOD.

10 And Noah begat three Sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

II The Earth alfo was corrupt before GOD; and the Earth was filled with Violence.

12 And GOD looked upon the Earth, and behold, it was corrupt: for all Flesh had corrupted his Way upon the Earth.

13 And GOD faid unto Noah, The End of all Flesh is come before me; for the Earth is filled with Violence through them and behold, I will deftroy them with the Earth.

14 Make thee an Ark of Gopher-wood: Rooms fhalt thou make in the Ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with Pitch.

15 And this is the Fashion which thoufhalt make it of: The Length of the Ark fhall be three hundred Cubits, the Breadth of it fifty Cubits, and the Heighth of it thirty Cubits.

16 A Window fhalt thou make to the Ark, and in a Cubit fhalt thou finish it above; and the Door of the Ark fhalt thou fet in the Side thereof: with lower, fecond, and third Stories fhalt thou make it.

17 And behold, I, even I do bring a Flood of Waters upon the Earth, to deftroy all Flesh, wherein is the

18 But with thee will I eftablish my 'Covenant thou fhalt come into the Ark; thou, and thy Sons, and thy Wife, and thy Sons Wives with thee.

Rom. i. 18 For the Wrath of GoD is revealed from Heaven against all Ungodliness, and Unrighteoufness of Men, who hold the Truth in Unrighteousness.

21 Because that when they knew GOD, they glorified him not as GOD, neither were thankful, but became vain in their Imaginations, and their

foolish Heart was darkned.

19 And of every living Thing of all Flefh, two of every fort fhalt thou bring into the Ark, to keep them alive with thee they fhall be Male and Female.

20 Of Fowls after their Kind, and of Cattle after their Kind, of every creeping Thing of the Earth after his Kind: two of every fort fhall come unto thee, to keep them alive.

21 And take thou unto thee of all Food that is eaten, and thou fhalt gather it to thee; and it fhall be for Food for thee, and for them.

22 Thus did Noah; according to all that GoD commanded him, fo did he.

Ver. I

AND W the LORD

faid unto Noah, Come thou, and all thy Houfe into the Ark for thee have I feen righteous before me in this Generation.

2 Of every clean Beaft thou shalt take to thee by Sevens, the Male and his Female and of Beafts that are not clean by Two, the Male and his Female.

3 Of Fowls alfo of the Air by Sevens, the Male and the Female; to keep Seed alive

"I Pet.iii. 18 For CHRIST alfo hath once fuffered for Sins, the Juft for the Unjuft (that he might bring us to GoD) being put to Death in the Flefh, but quickned by the Spirit:

19 By which alfo he went and preached unto the Spirits in Prison;

warned of God, of Things not feen Heb. xi. 7. By Faith Noah being as yet, moved with Fear, prepared an Ark to the faving of his Houfe; by and became Heir of the Righteoufnels the which he condemned the World, which is by Faith.

And Noah went in, and his Sons, and his Wife, and his Sons Wives with him, into the Ark, becaufe of the Waters of the Flood..

8 Of clean Beafts, and of Beafts that are not clean, and of Fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the Earth,

9 There went in two and two unto Noah into the Ark, the Male and the Female, as GOD had commanded Noah. 10 And it came to pafs after feven Days, that the Waters of the Flood were upon the Earth.

11 In the fix hundredth Year of Noah's Life, in the fecond Month, the seventeenth Day of the Month, the fame Day were all the Fountains of the great Deep broken up, and the Windows of Heaven were opened.

12 And the Rain was upon the Earth forty Days and forty Nights..

13 In the felf-fame Day entred Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the Sons of Noah, and Noah's Wife, and the three Wives of his Sons with them, into the Ark:

14 They, and every Beast after his Kind, and all the Cattle after their Kind, and every creeping Thing_that creepeth upon the Earth after his Kind, and every Fowl after his Kind, every Bird of every Sort.

15 And they went in unto Noah into the Ark, two and two of all Flesh, wherein is the Breath of Life.

16 And they that went in, went in Male and Female of all Flefh, as GOD had commanded him and the LORD fhut him in.
