greater than up to the present time. Racing,
yachting, archery, rowing, pigeon-shooting, cricket-
ing, pedestrianism, quoits, pugilism, bowls, trot-
ting matches, otter hunting, fishing, rackets, and
handball have seldom, if ever, been excelled.
