L'Isola delle Rose

Isola delle rose (Esperanto: Respubliko de la Insulo de la Rozoj, English: Republic of Rose Island), was an artificial island in the sea close to Rimini (Emilia Romagna) founded in 1968 by the engineer G. Rosa (1925- ), who declared it an independent state. It was destroyed by the Italian government after 5 months.
