Several estates of the family were sold by Sir John Posthumus Sydenham, the second, and by Sir Philip. the third baronet. Brimpton, however, continued in the family, devolving on Humphrey Sydenham, es of Combe, who d. 12th August, 1757. It was afterwards purchased by Mr. Fane, and is now the property of the Earl of Westmoreland.

General farleton represented his native town some time in arliament. He married 17th December, 1798, SusanPrecilla, natural daughter of Robert Bertie, fourth Duke of Ancaster, but died in January, 1833, without ssue, when the BARONETCY EXPIRED.
