£35 The original manuscript of this fine story, which was printed in the "Cornhill Magazine " in 1892 and then published in two volumes at the end of the same year. At the head of the manuscript the author has written his name and address as well as his wellknown nom de plume.

Inserted is an A.L.S. from Merriman to his publishers referring to the proof of the first four parts of the work.
