N. B. In consequence of the great expense incurred in the preparation of this volume, by the addition of 100 pages and of numerous statistical tables and maps, the publishers are quite unable to offer this volume to nonsubscribers at less than twenty-five shillings. For Subscribers the Publishers are willing to incur the present heavy disbursement, and as the work was offered at 21s. per volume, it will still be delivered to them at that rate.
