Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth fainteth not, neither is weary?

For there is no searching of His wisdom, and His understanding is infinite.

He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

And they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

II

Eternal Love, how excellent is Thy name for evermore. Thou lovest man with a never

ending love.

And Thou hast redeemed him with power from on high.

Thou fillest his days with joy and his nights with peace.

According to the riches of Thy glory Thou dost supply his needs.

Thy mercy and Thy lovingkindness are his shield and strength: no evil shall come him nigh.

For his life is in Thy hand and his soul shall live for evermore.

III

Sing, O heavens, and rejoice, O earth; for the former things have passed away, and all things have become new.

Through the tender mercy of our God the dayspring from on high hath visited us, kindling the face of them that receive it, till they become the sons of God.

No longer is the dwelling of eternal life too bright above, and the perishable world too dark below.

No more are we strangers and exiles upon the earth, but fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God.

O Lord Almighty, we had said of Thee, Thy thoughts are not as our thoughts."

But Thou hast given unto us the spirit of adoption whereby we are raised to think the eternal thoughts and know Thee to be the all embracing Mind.

We had said, "Our righteousness reacheth not unto Thee or to the holy ones of Thy presence.

But Thou hast made one family, there and here, one living commmunion of seen and unseen. We had said Thou layest man fast in

everlasting sleep; but, lo! they sleep into everlasting waking.

Having passed through death to life, they go from strength to strength and from life to life.

Blessed be the Lord God that giveth beauty for ashes and the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness.

Blessed be the dawn of His everlasting light. Now unto the God of grace for the might of His Spirit and for His eternal love,

Be glory in the church throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
