Our God shall come and shall not keep silence.

He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth that He may judge His people. And the heavens shall declare His righteousness; for God is judge Himself.

Hear, O my people, and I will speak: O Israel, and I will admonish thee: I am God, even thy God.

Every beast of the forest is mine and the cattle upon a thousand hills: I know all the fowls of the mountains; and the wild beasts of the field are mine.

If I were hungry I would not tell thee; for the world is mine, and the fulness thereof. Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the Most High.

And call upon Him in the day of trouble; for He will deliver thee and thou shalt glorify Him.

The Tenth Day of the Month

PSALM LI

HAVE mercy upon me, O God, accord

ing to Thy loving-kindness: according

unto the multitude of Thy tender mercies. blot out my transgressions.

Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.

For I acknowledge my transgressions : and my sin is ever before me.

Against Thee, Thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in Thy sight.

Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts and in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom.

Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Hide Thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.

Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and uphold me with Thy free Spirit.

E

O Lord, open Thou my lips; and my mouth shall show forth Thy praise.

For Thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: Thou delightest not in burnt offering.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.

PSALM LV

Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not Thyself from my supplication.

Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint.

My heart is sore pained within me; and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.

Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.

And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at

rest.

Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness.

I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.

As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud and He shall hear my voice.

He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

God shall hear, even He that abideth of old. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

PSALM LVII

Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me for my soul trusteth in Thee: yea, in the shadow of Thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast.

I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth all things for me.

He shall send from heaven, and save me. God shall send forth His mercy and His truth.

Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; let Thy glory be above all the earth.

My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

I will praise Thee, O Lord, among the people: I will sing unto Thee among the nations.

For Thy mercy is great unto the heavens, and Thy truth unto the clouds.

Be Thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: let Thy glory be above all the earth.

The Eleventh Day of the Month

HE

PSALM LXI

EAR my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth I cry unto Thee, for my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

For Thou art my shelter, and a strong tower from the enemy.

I will abide in Thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of Thy wings.

For Thou, O God, wilt hear my vows, and give me the heritage of those that fear Thy

name.

PSALM LXII

Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from Him cometh my salvation.

He only is my rock and my salvation: He is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
