For with the Father of lights there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. He shall endure though we fail and pass

away.

The firmament declareth His glory, the prophets proclaim His judgments.

The Father of an infinite majesty, to whom be praise forevermore.

O Lord, when we cry unto Thee from the deep, and wait for Thee as they that wait for the morning.

Thou wilt have regard to our entreaty, the sigh of the lowly Thou wilt not despise.

Send out Thy light and Thy truth, let them lead us into Thy holy presence.

For with Thee is the fountain of life, and in Thy light shall we see light.

O continue Thy loving kindness unto us, and speak righteousness unto our souls, that we may grow more nearly unto the perfect pattern.

Unto the knowledge of the sons of God, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of the Christ.

SECOND SELECTION

Man Our Brother

EHOLD how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. For there the Lord commandeth a blessing, even life forevermore.

He that would love life and see good days, let him seek peace and pursue it.

Let him refrain his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking guile.

Let him not say I will honor the wise and hate the unwise; I will have respect unto the rich and despise the poor.

For God is no respecter of persons, but in every nation he that worketh righteousness and doeth the will of the Lord shall abide forever.

Whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.

For he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath

not seen.

Therefore withhold not kindness from them that are in need.

But bear ye one another's burdens.

For God hath designed men to be of greater service to each other,

Than hands or feet, eyes or other members, which He hath given in pairs.

Though there be diversities of gifts it is the same Spirit.

And though there be different kinds of service, yet it is the same Lord that worketh in all and through us all.

Be ye

therefore eyes to the blind and feet

to the lame.

Remembering them that are in bonds as if bound with them.

Rejoice with them that do rejoice.
And weep with them that weep.

And let him that giveth, do it with simplicity.

And him that sheweth mercy, let him shew it with cheerfulness.

For though I give all my goods to feed the poor and have not the spirit of love, If I have not the spirit of love, it profiteth me nothing.

Wherefore let us not be weary in well doing.

For in due season we shall reap if we faint not. But laying aside all malice, all envy and evil speaking,

Let us follow after the things which make for peace and the things whereby we may help one another.

Love as brethren and be courteous, putting on the ornament of a meek and gentle spirit. And over all put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness.

Be ye tender hearted, forgiving one another.

Even as God in His loving kindness forgiveth us.

And be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

For wrath is not stilled by wrath at any time, anger ceases by love-this is an everlasting law.

Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily unto God, keeping the unity of the spirit in the bond of peace.

And the God of love and peace shall be with us alway. Amen.

THIRD SELECTION

Jesus Our Leader

OR this cause came I unto the world,

F and to this end was I born, that I

should bear witness to the truth.

And work the works of Him that sent me. The spirit of truth shall guide you into all truth.

And the truth shall make you free.

If any one desires to come after me, Let him deny himself and take up his cross. He that taketh not his cross and followeth after me,

The same is not worthy of me.

For I came not to do mine own will, But the will of the Father that sent me. Not every one that saith unto me Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom,

But he that doeth the will of my Father who is in heaven.

For whosoever shall do the will of God,
The same is my brother and sister.
