PASSED IN THE FOURTH SESSION

OF THE

SECOND PROVINCIAL PARLIAMENT,

MET AT YORK, 12TH JUNE, 1799.

CHAPTER I.

An ACT to revive and continue an Act passed in the first Session of this present Parliament, entituled, "An ACT for the better securing the Province against the King's Enemies, (continued for two years).

CHAPTER II.

An ACT to continue an Act, entituled, " An ACT for securing the Titles to Lands in this Province, (continued for two years).

CHAPTER III.

An ACT to provide for the Education and Support of Orphan Children.

CHAPTER IV.

An ACT to enable Persons holding the Office of Register to be elected Members of the House of Assembly, (a Member accepting this office to vacate his seat, but may be re.elected).

CHAPTER IV.

An ACT to extend the Provisions of an Act passed in the second Session of the first Provincial Parliament of Upper Canada, entituled, "An ACT to confirm and make valid certain Marriages, heretofore contracted in the Country now comprised within the Province of Upper Canada, and to provide for the future Solemnization of Marriage within the same," (Ministers of the Church of Scotland, Lutherans, or Calvinists, authorized to celebrate marriage).

CHAPTER V.

An ACT for the better Division of this Province.

CHAPTER VI.

An ACT to amend Part of an Act passed in the 34th Year of the Reign of His Majesty, entituled, "An Act to establish a superior Court of civil and criminal Jurisdiction, and to regulate the Court of Appeals," and, also, to amend and repeal Part of an Act passed in the 37th Year of the Reign of His Majesty, entituled "An ACT for regulating the Practice of the Court of King's Bench," and to make further Provision respecting the same.

CHAPTER VII.

An ACT to alter the Method of performing Statute Duty on the Highways and Roads within this Province.

An ACT for the more equal Representation of the Commons of this Province in Parliament, and for the better defining of the Qualification of Electors.

CHAPTER IV.

An ACT for the summary Conviction of Persons selling Spirituous Liquor by retail without Licence.
