21 Your kerchiefs alfo will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted, and ye fhall. verf, know that I am the LORD.

4 Therefore fpeak unto them, and fay unto them, Thus faith the Lord GoD, Every man of the house of Ifrael that fetteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the ftumbling-block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet, I the LORD will anfwer him that cometh, according to the multitude of his idols, 5 That I may take the houfe of Ifrael in their own heart, becaufe, they are all eftranged from me through their idols.

6 Therefore fay unto the house of Ifrael, Thus faith the Lord GoD, Repent, and turn your felves from your idols, and turn away your faces from all your abominations.

7 For every one of the houfe of Ifrael, or of the stranger that fojourneth in Ifrael, which separateth himself from me, and fetteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumbling block of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to a prophet to enquire of him concerning me; I the LORD will anfwer him by my felf.

8 And I will fet my face against that man, and will make him a 4 fign and a proverb, and I will cut him off from the midst of my people, e and ye fhall know that I am the LORD.

And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will ftretch out my hand fi King upon him, and will deftroy him from the midft Job 12.16. of my people Ifrael.

1 Under the parable of two eagles and a vine, 11 is fbewed Gods judgment upon Jerufalem for revolting from Babylon to Egypt. 22 God promijeth to plant the cedar of the gospel.

Nd the word of the LORD came unto me, faying,

2 Son of man, put forth a riddle, and fpeak a parable unto the house of Ifrael;

3 And fay, Thus faith the Lord GOD, A great eagle with great wings, long-winged, full of feathers, which had divers colours, came unto Lebanon, and took the heigheft branch 2 King. of the cedar :

9 Say thou, Thus faith the Lord GOD, Shall it profper? fhall he not pull up the roots thereof, and cut off the fruit thereof, that it wither? it fhall wither in all the leaves of her spring, even without great power, or many people to pluck it up by the roots thereof.
