1 He defcribeth the person of Chrift, in whom we
have eternal life by a communion with God: 5 to
which we must adjoyn koliness of life, to teftifie
the truth of that our communion and profeffion of
faith, as also to affure us of the forgiveness of our
fins, by Chrifts death.

3 Rightly to know God, is to keep his command-
ments, 9 to love our brethren, 15 and not to
love the world. 18 We must beware of feducers:
20 from whofe deceits the godly are jafe pre-
ferved by perfeverance in faith and holiness of
Life.
