* FIRST EDITION of this poem, and probably one of the two first productions from the press of Aldus Manutius, The present copy, which is ruled in red ink, contains only the Greek text, ten leaves, beginning with a preface by Aldus. (The Latin text consists of twelve leaves, placed opposite the Greek when the two are bound together.) EXTREMELY RARE. Renouard, p. 258, No. 4; Hain, 11653; Proctor, 5545.

* English translation of the De Cursione Lune printed by Robert Faques a few years previously. Two other editions were issued by Wyer, both varying slightly from this in the title and imprint, and but one copy of each seems to be known. Apparently the Heber copy (described as in green morocco by Lewis), and the only known copy of this edition. Dibdin also refers to this copy.
