London: Wynkyn de Worde, 1512 *PRINTED ON VELLUM. THE ONLY KNOWN COPY OF THIS REMARKABLE PRODUCTION OF WYNKYN DE WORDE'S PRESS, and said to be the only book printed by De Worde on vellum. The only record of its existence is in a manuscript copy of the title in the Bagford collection copied by Ames, and the reference in the colophon of Copland's later edition that he translated it originally for Wynkyn de Worde. The edition in the British Museum in the Garrick collection is that printed by Copland. There is no doubt that Ames must have seen this copy, as he states that it is printed on parchment, but he gives the title only, apparently not having examined it.

Under this title of Heylas, Knight of the Swan, appears the first English version of the legend of Lohengrin, with romantic additions.
