Mr. President: The House of Representatives has disagreed to the amendments of the Senate to the bill (H.R. 7913) to amend title 10. United States Code, to bring the number of cadets at the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Air Force Academy to the full strength; it asks a conference with the Senate on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses thereon and has appointed Mr. VINSON, Mr. RIVERS of South Carolina, and Mr. ARENDS as managers at the same on its part. The House has disagreed to the amendment of the Senate to the bill (H.R. 12180) to extend for a temporary period the existing provisions of law relating to the free importation of personal and household effects brought into the United States under Government orders; it asks a conference with the Senate on the disagreeing votes of the two Houses thereon and has appointed Mr. MILLS, Mr. KING of California, Mr. O'BRIEN of Illinois, Mr. BYRNES, and Mr. BAKER managers at the same. The House has agreed to the amendments of the Senate to each of the following bills of the House: H.R. 4449. An act to amend paragraph 1774 of the Tariff Act of 1930 with respect to the importation of certain articles for religious purposes; and H.R. 10852. An act to continue for a temporary period the existing suspension of duties on certain classifications of spun silk yarn. The House has agreed to the amendment of the Senate to the bill (H.R. 10928) to transfer casein or lactarene to the free list of the Tariff Act of 1930.
