CHAPTER 2.

AN ACT for the benefit of the city of Lexington, the county of Fayette, and the Elizabethtown, Lexington, and Big Sandy Railroad Company. WHEREAS, The county of Fayette and city of Lexington have each subscribed for two hundred and fifty thousand dollars of the capital stock of the Elizabethtown, Lexington, and Big Sandy Railroad Company, in pursuance of the provisions of the charter of said company, and of the votes of a majority of the voters of said county and of said city, each of which subscriptions of stock are payable with the bonds of said county and of said city for the amount subscribed, bearing interest at the rate of six per cent. per annum, payable semi-annually, and the principal payable in equal installment at one, two, and three years
