E Nations who the Globe divide,
Ye num'rous Nations, scatter'd wide,
To GOD your grateful Voices raise :
To All his boundless Mercies shown,
His Truth to endless Ages known
Require our endless Love and Praile.

To Him who reigns enthron'd on high,
To his dear SON who deign'd to die,
Our Guilt and Errors to remove:
To that bleft Spirit who Grace imparts,
Who rules in all Believing Hearts,
Be ceaseless Glory, Praife, and Love!

To purge our Sins, CHRIST fhed his Blood, He dy'd to bring us near to GOD :

Faith in CHRIST our Sacrifice.

OT all the Blood of Beasts
On Jewish Altars flain,

Could give the guilty Conscience Peace,
Or wash away the Stain.

II.

But CHRIST the heav'nly LAMB,
Takes all our Sins away;

A Sacrifice of nobler Name,
And richer Blood than they !

III.

My Faith would lay its Hand *
On that dear Head of thine,

While like a Penitent I ftand
And there confefs my Sin.

IV.

My Soul looks back to fee

The Burdens Thou didft bear, †

When hanging on th' accurfed Tree,

And hopes her Guilt was there.

TO JESUS CHRIST.

Thou only holy, only juft,

Oh tune our Soul to Praife thy Name,
JESUS! Unchangeable, the Same !

If Angels, whilft to Thee they fing,
Wrap up their Faces in their Wing,
How fhall we finful Duft daw nigh
The great, the awful DEITY!

III.

Glory to Thee, aufpicious LAMB !
Thou holy LORD, hou great I AM!
With all our Pow'r thy Grace we bless,
Our Joy, our Peace, our Righteousness!
IV.

Live, ever glorious JESUS! live,
Worthy all Bleffings to receive !
Worthy on high enthron'd to fit
With ev'ry Pow'r beneath thy Feet!

To thy Crofs our Spirit bind;
Earthly Paffions far remove,
Perfect all our Souls in Love.

Duft and Afhes tho' we be,
Full of Guilt and Mifery !
Thine we are, thou Son of GOD
Take the Purchase of thy Blood.

IV..

Boundless Wisdom, Pow'r divine,
Love unspeakable are Thine;
Praife by all to Thee be giv'n,
Sons of Earth and Hofts of Heav'n!

Unfruitfulness.

ONG have we fat beneath the Sound
Of thy Salvation, LORD,

But ftill how weak our Faith is found,
And Knowledge of thy Word!

Oft we frequent thine holy Place,
Yet hear almost in vain :
How small a Portion of thy Grace
Do our falfe Hearts retain !
III.

Our gracious SAVIOUR and our GOD,
How little art Thou known,
By all the Judgments of thy Rod,
And bleffings of thy Throne ?
IV.

How cold and feeble is our Love,
How negligent our Fears!
How low our Hope of Joys above,
How few Affections there!

V.

Great GOD, thy fov'reign Aid impart,
To give thy Word Succefs

;

Write thy Salvation on our Heart,
And makes us learn thy Grace.
VI.

Shew our forgetful Feet the Way
That leads to Joys on high;
Where Knowledge grows without decay,
And Love fhall never die.
