The Same.

PSALM XXIV. 7.

up your Heads, O ye Gates, and be up, ye Everlasting Doors, &c.

I.

UR LORD is rifen from the Dead, Our JESUS is gone up on high, The Pow'rs of Hell are captive led, Dragg'd to the Portals of the Sky.

II.

There his triumphal Chariot waits,
And Angels chaunt the folemn Lay,
Lift up your Heads, ye heav'nly Gates,
Ye everlasting Doors give Way!

III.

Loofe all your Bars of maffy Light,
And wide unfold th' etherial Scene;
He claims these Manfions as his Right,
Receive the King of Glory in!

IV.

Who is the King of Glory who?

The LORD that all his Foes o'ercame,
The World, Sin, Death, and Hell o'erthrew,
And JESUS is the Conqu'ror's Name.

Who is the King of Glory, who?
The LORD of glorious Pow'r poffeft,
The King of Saints and Angels too,
GOD over all, for ever bleft!

PSALM XCV. I.

I.

AWAKE, and fing the Song *

Of Mofes and the LAMB,

Wake ev'ry Heart and ev'ry Tongue
To praife the SAVIOUR'S Name.

II.

Sing of his dying Love,
Sing of his rifing Power,
Sing how He intercedes above
For those whofe Sins He bore.
III. 10

Sing 'till we feel our Hearts
Afcending with our Tongues,
Sing 'till the Love of Sin departs,
And Grace infpires our Songs.
IV.

Sing on your heav'nly Way,
Ye ranfom'd Sinners fing,
Sing on rejoicing ev'ry Day
In CHRIST the eternal King.

Soon fhall ye hear Him fay,
"Ye bleffed Children come; "t
Soon will He call ye hence away,
And take his Wand'rers home. ||

PSALM Xciii.

I.

E Servants of GOD,
Your Mafter proclaim,

And publish abroad

His wonderful Name :
The Name all-victorious
Of JESUS extol;

His Kingdom is glorious,
And rules over all.
II.

The Waves of the Sea

Have lift up their Voice,

Sore troubled that we

In JESUS rejoice:

The Floods they are roaring,
But JESUS is here:

While we are adoring,

He always is near.
III.

Men, Devils engage,
The Billows arife,
And horribly rage,

And threaten the Skies;
Their Fury fhall never
Our Stedfaftness fhock,
The weakeft Believer,
Is built on a Rock.
IV.

GOD ruleth on high,
Almighty to fave,

Matt. xviii. 20.

And

Salvation to GOD,

Who fits on the Throne,

Let all cry aloud,

And honour the SQN:
Our JESUS's Praises.

The Angels proclaim,
Fall down on their Faces,
And worship the LAMB.
VI.

Then let us adore

And give Him his Right,
All Glory and Pow'r,

And Wifdom, and Might;
All Honour and Bleffing,
With Angels above,
And Thanks never ceafing,

And infinite Love.

HYMN XXXVI.

I.

ROM all that dwell below the Skies,
Let the CREATOR's Praife arife;
Let the REDEEMER'S Name be fung,
Thro' ev'ry Land, by ev'ry Tongue.
II.

Eternal are thy Mercies LORD,
Eternal Truth attends thy Word;

Thy Praise fhall found from Shore to Shore,
Till Suns fhall rife and fet no more.

HYMN XXXVIII.

Salvation by Grace in CHRIST.

Now

I.

to the Pow'r of GOD Supreme,
Be everlasting Honours giv'n; f
He faves from Hell, (we blefs his Name)
He calls loft wand'ring Souls to Heav'n.
II.

Not for our Duties or Deserts,*
But of his own abounding Grace,
He works Salvation in our Hearts,
And forms a People for his Praise.
III.

'Twas his own Purpose that begun
To rescue Rebels doom'd to die,
He gave us Grace in CHRIST his Son, †
Before he spread the ftarry Sky.

IV.

JESUS, the LORD, appears at last,

And makes his FATHER'S Councils known, $ Declares the great Transactions past,

And brings immortal Bleffings down.
