V.

Then when the mighty Work is wrought,
Receive the ready Bride; *
Give us in Heav'n a happy Lot,
With all the Sanctified.

JESUS,

HYMN CXXIII.

ANOTHÉR.

I.

ESUS, LORD, we look to Thee,
Let us in thy Name agree,

Shew Thyfelf the Prince of Peace,
Bid our Jars for ever cease.

II.

By thy reconciling Love,

Ev'ry Stumbling-block remove,

Each to each unite, endear,

Come and spread thy Banner here.

III.

Make us of one Heart and Mind,

Courteous, pitiful, and kind,
Lowly, meek in Thought and Word,
Altogether like our LORD. +

IV.

Let us each for other care,
Each his Brother's Burden bear,
To thy Church thy Pattern give,
Shew how true Believers live.

V.

Let us then with Joy remove
To thy Family above,
On the Wings of Angels fly,
Shew how true Believers die!

HYMN CXXIV.

It is finifh'd! John xix. 30.

1.

IS finifh'd," the REDEEMER faid,

""Tand meekly bew'd his dying Head ;.

Whilft we this Sentence fcan,
Come, Sinners, and obferve the Word,
Behold the Conquests of our LORD,
Compleat for helpless Man.

II.
Finish'd the Righteousness of Grace,
Finish'd for Sinners pard'ning Peace;
Their mighty Debt is paid:
Accufing Law, cancel'd by Blood,
And Wrath of an offended GoD
In fweet Oblivion laid.*

Who now fhall urge a fecond Claim ?+
The Law, no longer can condemn,
Faith a Release can fhew :
Juftice itfelf a Friend appears,
The Prifon-houfe a Whisper hears,
"Loofe him and let him go."
IV.

O Unbelief, injurious Bar!

Source of tormenting fruitless Fear,

Why doft thou yet reply?

Where'er thy loud Objections fall,
"'Tis finish'd," ftill may anfwer all,

And filence ev'ry Cry.

PSALM Xxiii.

I.

HE LORD fupplies his People's Need,
JEHOVAH is his Name

In Paftures fresh he makes them feed
Befide the living Stream.

II.

He brings their wand'ring Spirits back,
When they forfake his Ways,
And leads them, for his Mercy's Sake,
In Paths of Truth and Grace.
III.

When they walk thro' the Shades of Death,
His Prefence is their Stay :
A Word of his fupporting Breath
Drives all their Fears away.

IV.

His Hand in Sight of all their Foes
Doth ftill their Table spread,
Their Cup with Bleffings overflows,
His Oil anoints their Head.

V.

The fure Provifions of our GOD,
Attend us all our Days:

O may his House be our Abode,
And all our Work his Praise !

Fear fhall in me no more take Place !

My SAVIOUR doth not yet appear,

He hides the Brightness of his Face :

But fhall I therefore let Him

And bafely to the Tempter yield ?—
No-in the Strength of JESUS no-
I never will give up my Shield.
