John Antonakis is Assistant Professor of Human Resources Management in the Department of Management of the University of Lausanne. He received his Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences from Walden University, where he received the Frank Dilley best dissertation award for his work on the validity of the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire. Previously, Dr. Antonakis was a Postdoctoral Associate in the Department of Psychology at Yale University (PACE Center). His publications are focused on the contextualized nature of transformational and neocharismatic leadership theories and their measurement. Anna T. Cianciolo received her PhD in engineering psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology and her MA in cognitive and biological psychology from the University of Minnesota. She did two years of postdoctoral study at the Yale Center for the Psychology of Abilities, Competencies, and Expertise (PACE). She is currently senior research scientist at Global Information Systems Technology, Inc., in Champaign, Illinois. Her current research focuses on individual differences in intellectual capability and their role in knowledge acquisition and the development of skilled performance. She has studied the development and assessment of experience-based tacit knowledge for leadership in U.S. Army officers. Robert J. Sternberg is IBM Professor of Psychology and Education in the Department of Psychology at Yale University, and Director of the Center for the Psychology of Abilities, Competencies, and Expertise at Yale. His is also President of the American Psychological Association. He received the Ph.D. from Stanford University in 1975 and the B.A. summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Yale University in 1972. He holds honorary doctorates from four universities and has received numerous awards. Professor Sternberg is the author of over 900 journal articles, book chapters, and books, covering successful intelligence, thinking styles, wisdom, and love. He has received over $15 million in government grants and contracts for his research, including among others, grants centered the role of practical intelligence and tacit knowledge in military and civilian leadership. Professor Sternberg is a member of several professional associations has served as Editor of the Psychological Bulletin and is Editor of The APA Review of Books: Contemporary Psychology.
