Climbing High: A Woman's Account of the Everest Tragedy

On May 10, 1996 Lene Gammelgaard became the first Scandanavian woman to scale the summit of Mount Everest. On the descent the team was caught in a sudden storm that left eight dead. Gammelgaard recounts that fateful summit day and examines the triumph and tragedy of modern mountaineering.
